Sitios supports transport companies in providing information about the accessibility of train stations and stops to make public transport accessible to people with disabilities.

Accessibility data for stations and stops

Switzerland is committed to ensuring that people with mobility restrictions can use public transport just as spontaneously and independently as people without restrictions. As part of the so-called BEHIG inventory, data on the accessibility of all train stations and stops in Switzerland is collected and must be constantly updated. The Federal Act on the Elimination of Disadvantages for Persons with Disabilities (Disability Equality Act, BehIG, SR 151.3) of December 13, 2002 and the associated Ordinance on Disability Accessibility of Public Transport (VBöV, SR 151.34) require licensed public transport companies to take stock of the accessibility of all public transport stops in Switzerland.

Survey and publication by Sitios

Sitios supports Swiss transport companies in complying with legal requirements for the disabled (BeHIG) of public transport. Sitios takes over the entire project management, from planning to implementation, monitoring and sustainable data management. This also includes on-site data collection by trained recorders. The technical basis is the Sitios data platform. The data relevant to BeHIG is then automatically transferred to the service documentation (DiDoK) of public transport Switzerland via an interface (API).
