Special offers for people with disabilities
The Cerebral Foundation offers special offers throughout Switzerland, such as ice gliders or all-terrain electric wheelchairs for people with disabilities. In a current Sitios project, the availability of these offers is also being integrated into the ginto database.
Leisure activities for everyone
Partner organizations of the Cerebral Foundation offer unique offers for people with disabilities throughout Switzerland: all-terrain wheelchairs, special kayaks, ice gliders or barrier-free rental vehicles. These make leisure activities such as hiking or ice skating accessible to everyone.
The aim of this project is to make the special offers that can be found on Cerebral MAP even more visible. As a first step, the GINTO app is being expanded: New criteria are being defined for recording these special offers. In a second step, all partner organizations of the Cerebral Foundation are invited to record and publish detailed information on the accessibility not only of their location, but also of their special offer, using ginto.
Partnership-based action
With projects such as these, Sitios aims to bring together existing accessibility information in a central data platform. In this way, forces can be pooled and synergies can be exploited.
By collecting and publishing accessibility information, tourism companies also have the opportunity to participate in the OK:GO initiative. In doing so, they make an effective and at the same time cost-effective contribution to the inclusion of people with mobility restrictions and thus to social sustainability.
