Are you new to ginto and would like to try out the app in a test environment? Would you like to test new features in the app? Activate the test environment and practice creating, editing, and deleting entries in the app.
Remark

The test environment has its own user database. The passwords in the test environment are therefore independent of the normal production environment and may differ.

Before you start

Pro tip

The activated test environment can be seen on the red bar at the top of the screen when the ginto app is active. Don't forget to switch off the test environment again if you want to create or search for real entries again.

initiation

The test environment can be activated for the ginto app. A test instance of the ginto database is then used. As a result, all entries entered are not publicly visible and entries can be edited, created and deleted without hesitation.

This is particularly useful for training, testing new versions of the app, or experimenting when entering entries.

How to activate the test environment

android

  1. Activate the test environment in settings
(App info > Additional settings in the app > Use test environment)
  2. Close the ginto app (“shoot down”)
To do this, swipe up from the bottom of the screen. Now remove the ginto tile from the list of open apps by holding down the screen and then letting go. If available, the “Recently opened apps” button can also be pressed.
  3. Restart the ginto app

iOS (iPhone)
